The municipality of Götzens has around 4,000 inhabitants and is situated on a low mountain terrace not far from Innsbruck. That is why Götzens is often referred to as a suburb of Innsbruck. Götzens is located about 7 kilometres south of Innsbruck. The centre of the provincial capital can be reached by car in about 15 minutes via the Götzener Landesstraße. The VVT buses stop at several stops and run every seven minutes at peak times. Thanks to the Nightliner, you can also take the bus from Innsbruck to Götzens late at night.
Hiking trails lead through the nearby forest or through meadows, to the Götznerberg or to the Natterersee. Götzens is also a good starting point for those who enjoy mountain biking or road cycling in their free time. In winter you benefit from the proximity to the Axamer Lizum and the ice rink near the business park. Numerous clubs contribute to a good village community all year round.
