Axams is a municipality with about 6,000 inhabitants in the district of Innsbruck Land. The municipal area comprises the four villages of Axamer Lizum, Axams, Bachl and Kristen. Axams is only about 10 kilometres away from Innsbruck. The provincial capital can be reached by car in about 20 minutes. Students and professionals commute to Innsbruck on weekdays mainly by bus. The short intervals at rush hour are an advantage. There are several bus stops along the main road. There is also a bus connection via Kematen to Zirl. In Kematen you can change to the ÖBB trains.
If it gets late, you can also take the Nightliner from Innsbruck to Axams or from Axams to Innsbruck. In winter, the ski bus to the Axamer Lizum stops right next to your front door. Together with a wide range of leisure activities and a lively club life, Axam residents enjoy a high quality of life.
