Real estate in the Ötztal
The five municipalities of Sautens, Oetz, Umhausen, Längenfeld and Sölden are located in the approximately 65-long Ötztal valley. According to the number of inhabitants, Sautens is the smallest municipality, Längenfeld the largest. The valley is best known for the winter ski resorts of Oetz, Obergurgl and Sölden. Oetz is not far from the valley entrance, from there to Obergurgl you have to climb several steps, which not only affect the landscape but also the climate. The entrance to the valley is characterised by fruit and grain meadows, further inland you are within reach of the Ötztal glacier.

The Ötztal is characterised by tourism. Houses with holiday flats and hotels are just as much a part of the landscape here as old farms and new detached houses and apartment buildings. For flat hunters, this results in a wide choice.

The Ötztal - high quality of life in the middle of nature
The Ötztal offers a high quality of life, especially due to its proximity to nature. This results not only in peace and fresh air, but also in numerous leisure opportunities. The VVT buses run at regular intervals, but the bus journey from Obergurgl to Imst or from Imst to Obergurgl takes almost two hours. The Ötztal railway station with connections to the ÖBB local and long-distance trains is located in the Inntal valley. By bus, you have to plan one and a half hours from there to Obergurgl.
However, each community has supermarkets, cafés and restaurants. A number of farm shops offer fresh produce daily.
The Ötztal also offers a wide range of leisure activities for children, adults and senior citizens. In winter you can go skiing, tobogganing, cross-country skiing or enjoy yourself in the Therme Aquadome in Längenfeld. In summer, the mountains beckon: numerous hiking trails and cycle paths lead to alpine pastures and peaks. With over 250 three-thousand-metre peaks, there is plenty to do in the Ötztal for mountain climbers. A new cycle path leads through the entire valley to the Inn cycle path in the Inn Valley. The Stuibenfall near Umhausen and the Piburger See near Oetz are also popular destinations in summer.
